Grace Lutheran Day School began in 1956 as a school for member children of Grace Church. Today our students come from many different denominations and Grace school is recognized because of its Christian based instruction, dedicated staff, successful graduates, and rich academic programs. As we plan for the future, our offering is expanding to meet the challenges of educating children for the 21st century. We maintain the tradition of excellence and a firm commitment to helping our students to grow in faith and the knowledge of Christ as our Savior. Our new academic offering, the multiage classroom, is a cutting edge concept in education. In the work places of the 21st century workers are called on to work in collaborative teams, have computer skills and work with people of different ages, cultures and abilities. With these goals in mind, our offering will support students to perform well in the workplace of today and the future. Our multiage classroom is the deliberate grouping of students across grade levels to form a single learning community that meets the academic, social, emotional and physical needs of the children. Flexibility of grouping and use of time, gives our students the opportunity to become more independent and responsible learners as they engage in activities to develop higher order thinking skill, and problem solving strategies to support academic growth. Grace continues to get the basics right as we provide for meeting the individual needs of our students in a small, nurturing setting where we celebrate our partnership with parents to encourage our children to grow into successful adults prepared spiritually, emotionally and academically to meet the challenges of the 21st Century.
